It’s Christmas once again and definitely a time for parties and more parties. From not forgetting your group’s choreography to wishing you’d get picked to win the raffle’s major prize is in itself filled with anticipation. But preparations for the most beautiful time of the year is also a tad taxing and expensive especially if there is a theme involved.
This year our company chose a diadem theme. Everybody was expected to wear a crown (but you can really opt not to). So there I was thinking that I would not wear a crown because I don’t want to wear a gown (it would be such a hassle during after-party). Also, I wanted something that I can wear the next two years perhaps.
Voila! A blouse and trousers combo which I can re-wear and accessorize to match an event in the future. Listed below are the items for this look.
Top: This blush colored top, which I haven’t worn since I bought it because I wasn’t confident showing my tummy yet, was a great find from our store hopping early this year.
Proud Mary Leda Twist Knot top (PhP 290)
Bottoms: These trousers have great fit and are so comfy. You wouldn’t mind an all-nighter wearing these. You can find these trousers at SM Cebu and they are also available in black.
Calypso in beige (PhP 1,499.75)
Shoes: I have these shoes for quite a while now. It pays to invest in a classic neutral colored shoes because you get to match them with almost anything.
Accessories: To keep up with the theme, I got myself two hair pins embelished with jewels and pearls; which is quite the trend this year. I was not supposed to wear a belt, but then a good friend advised me to wear one because my trousers have a belt loop. So I bought a nude slim belt with gold buckle.
SM Accessories hair pins (PhP 99.75) and belt (around Php 200)
Bag: One must have a statement piece when dressing up. For this particular look, it is my bag. I got it from a good friend who hand-paints bags, wallets and purse. Isn’t she pretty? You can get your own customized bags. Check her instagram account below.
MBK Geraldton (Price varies depending on the bag and design)
Even with a set theme, you can still dress up according to your style by twisting or bending some things here and there. As long your personality will shine through and you feel like a princess, who cares if you have a crown or not.
