Even as a kid, I have this fascination of mermaids. I can clearly remember how I persuaded my mother to buy poster-sized story books containing mermaids. During my third year in high school, we were tasked to cover our journals creatively with things that represent ourselves. Yes, a fifteen year old drew mermaid’s tail swimming from a blue sea of crepe paper. Anything mermaid movie or tv shows, I would watch them.

Another year has come, another birthday. And here you are getting that VIP treatment fit for the birthday celebrant. But before you check if all your close friends have greeted you and your special someone gifting you something that you like (and constantly talked about), have you thought about getting something for yourself?

The age that defines the young and old. It seems to be that dreaded age that you need everything to be figured out. Hence, the pressure is on when you hit your mid-twenties. Despite these seemingly unattractive bits, there are things that thirty-something are certainly grateful for.
