In a country of coconuts as tropical as the Philippines, winter is something one would like to experience at least once in his or her lifetime. So here I am, someone whose mood is affected by the weather and someone who has always donned a jacket in an airconditioned room; about to experience the first winter of her lifetime.
The World
Indochina: Crossing borders
The World, WandersOur Indochina trip is the first international trip that most of our friends have (and that includes me by the way). One of our friends acted as the main organizer of the trip while most of us helped out in confirming our accommodations, places to visit and food to try (I volunteered for the food).
Thailand: Three more days please
The World, WandersWe got soaked after alighting the bus in Bangkok from a ten-hour drive from Siem Reap. At the bus stop we waited until the rain stopped, we were entertained by the bus ticket in-charge.
Cambodia: More than Angkor Wat
The World, WandersCambodia. Temples. Angkor Wat.
Guilty here! Honestly I did not make enough research before embarking on this journey. Cambodia has more than just temples to offer.
Vietnam: Pho first before anything else
The World, WandersTouchdown Vietnam specifically Tan Son Nhat International Airport.
Coming from sunny Cebu, we were kinda bummed about the weather – rain and gusts of wind. Nonetheless our spirits were starting to lift up when we travel from the airport to our hostel and saw the roads filled with motorcycles and motorcycles. Truly Vietnam!
