A year into COVID-19 and Cebu province has already encouraged local tourism. There were protocols in place when traveling from one city to another such as confirmed hotel accommodation, medical certificates, and the necessary face mask, face shield, and physical distancing.
Travelling has been difficult because of the pandemic. One might require tests, clearance from place of residence, acceptance letter from the place of destination, and quarantine (recently requirements have eased up). Not to mention the fear and anxiety that comes with traveling.
Because why not.
Getting that much deserved vacation needs preparation; the place, flight or bus schedule, accomodation and itinerary. But sometimes we have to have that needed relaxation in an instant (sort of). Hence, staycation is the answer.
In a country of coconuts as tropical as the Philippines, winter is something one would like to experience at least once in his or her lifetime. So here I am, someone whose mood is affected by the weather and someone who has always donned a jacket in an airconditioned room; about to experience the first winter of her lifetime.
I was planning to have a solo trip to Camiguin earlier this year but due to priorities, I decided to move it to my birth month as a self-gift (check my blog for other birthday gift ideas). So, how come I had friends with me on this trip? Well, I need to have great pictures for this birthday blog.
